Turn Intention Into Action

The key to making anything happen is not waiting for the perfect moment. It sounds like a cliché, I know, but it’s the honest-to-God truth.

I say this because right now, at this very moment, I’m in one of those moods where I feel completely bombarded by business problems. And if you’re a business owner like me, you already know, it’s not always what it’s cracked up to be.

When the stress feels overwhelming, I tend to reminisce. And this… is one of those moments.

This probably belongs on a “Leadership” page, but I haven’t figured that out yet - so I’m putting it here. (A perfect example of just doing it instead of waiting for everything to be perfect.)

My journey as a business owner started young. The earliest I can remember was in 3rd grade - I was selling candies to my classmates. It was Potchi. I’m pretty sure kids still know it today.

I loved earning. I loved selling. But I also loved eating the product.

So I ended up owing myself money because I kept consuming my own inventory.

That was my first failure as a budding entrepreneur.

Looking back, I already had the vision - but not the discipline to execute it well.

My second venture was offering cash loans to UV Express drivers in Rizal through a co-worker’s husband. It was actually doing well—until I moved to Dubai. The person handling collections disappeared, along with the payments.

That was my second failure. Lesson learned: don’t build something you can’t sustain or oversee.

Then came my third venture - the one that changed everything.

While living in Ajman, UAE, I created a profile on Upwork and landed a client - a European digital nomad based in Phnom Penh. I worked as his executive secretary, helping manage a building he was renting out.

At some point, I realized… this could be more than just a job. This could be a business.

That was the beginning of what is now TVQ Solutions - originally called The Virtual Assistant Queens. My vision then was simple: help single moms like me build a career through virtual assistance.

Around that time, I also realized I needed to come home.

Because:

  • My daughter was growing up without me

  • I needed to leave a toxic relationship

  • And my heart was no longer in Dubai

So I left.

Not because everything was perfectly aligned - but because I chose to move anyway.

If I had waited for the perfect timing, I probably wouldn’t have TVQ Solutions today.

Is the business perfect now? No. We still struggle with systems, people, and processes. We’re constantly refining, rebuilding, and figuring things out. But there’s nothing wrong with that.

We started as a dating moderation company, then moved into real estate virtual assistance, and now we’ve evolved into a digital marketing-focused VA agency.

We’re still growing. Still iterating. But we finally know who we are.

And it all started with a simple intention… that turned into action.

TVQ Solutions officially began on September 18, 2019. And now, it’s April 2026.

It’s still a journey - still imperfect, still challenging.

But it’s mine. And it’s worth it.
